Obituary
Willie Earl Burrage passed away on November 11, 2025, at his residence. He was born on December 12, 1951, in Bobo, Mississippi, to Ella Louise Gordon Burrage and Willie Lee Burrage. For many years, Mr. Burrage
worked as a truck driver at Lasley’s Disposal Service. He was preceded in death by his beloved Ms. Clester Faine, as well as his sons, Charles (CW) Collins, and Robert Earl Faine, Sr.; mother, Ella Louise; and father,
Willie Lee Burrage. Additionally, he was preceded in death by his siblings: sisters, Pauline Bailey, Earlene Gordon, Bessie Overstreet, and Gertrude Henderson; and brothers, Roy Overstreet, Jack Overstreet, Joe Overstreet, Oscar Lee Burrage, and Michael Lee Burrage.
He is survived by his son, Michael Hoy of Lambert, Mississippi, Thomas Faine, Chester Faine, and Clifton Faine also of Springfield, Illinois, along with his daughters: Katherine Collins of Springfield, Brandy Cooper of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Bobby Jean Collins of Rockford, Illinois, Clester Neci Faine, Sharon Faine, Ruby Jean Coleman, Lorraine Faine, and Emma Tina (Will) Levy also of Springfield, Illinois.
His surviving sisters include Willie Sarah Burrage of Springfield, Illinois, Louise McKinney of Chicago, Illinois, Wevone Webb of Bakersfield, California, Ruby Mae Davis of Walls, Mississippi, Geraldine Thomas of Chicago, Illinois, Charlene Burrage of La Plata, Maryland, Cassie Burrage of Chicago, Illinois, Dorothy Henderson of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Ernestine Henderson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Mr. Burrage also leaves behind a legacy of 39 grandchildren, 103 great-grandchildren, and 25 great-great-grandchildren.
