Obituary
Rickey Lee Haley, 70, departed this life February 27, 2026, in Columbia, Illinois. Rickey was born October 9, 1955, the son of James Haley and Christine Johnson in Springfield, Illinois.
He worked in Maintenance at St. John’s Hospital for many years.
He loved spending time with family and friends, his favorite things to do was to barbeque and play dominoes. He had a great sense of humor and could light up any room, he finally got his Lexus on the road he was so proud.
He was preceded in death by parents, James E. Haley and Christine Johnson Haley; sisters, Roberta Davis, Ethel Howze, Chrissie Gage, and Arlene Brandon; and brothers, James Haley and Richard Haley.
Leaves to cherish his memories of his companion, Theresa Miller; daughters, Marcia Warfield, Shante Holman, Kenyata Rucker, Rhea Rucker, Tiffany Crawford, and A’Yonis Holyfield; one son, Rickey Crawford; brothers, Wiliam Haley, Donald Haley, and Gerald Haley; sisters, Donna Hickman (Lindsey); twin sister, Vickey Haley; grandchildren, Jae Rucker-Williams, Micha Mackey, Naudiyah Rucker-Cook, Ja’Kyan Shanklin, LarMarrian Rainey, Laylah Shanklin, Saniyah Adams, and Legend Gatlin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
