Obituary

Margaret L. Tucker departed this life on September, 17, 2025, at Memorial Hospital, accompanied by her son, David L. Tucker, and Bishop Aaron Batiste. 

She was born on August 28, 1954, to Mary Maeuleother and Henry Goodman. She retired from Charter Communication after over twenty years of servitude. Margaret will be mostly remembered for the positive impact during her eighteen years of employment with the Springfield Housing Authority. Margaret was a woman of faith an an active member of Greater Apostolic. Margaret was preceded in death most recently by her granddaughter, Zarqukiezia T. Duckett; both parents; and brother, Lesslie Maeweather. 

She leaves to cherish her memory: children, L. Blake and Kristen Tucker of Austin, TX, Mrs. Tennille and Lewis Duckett, both of Greenville, SC, David L. Tucker of Springfield, IL, Ms. Dewayne D. Goodman of Springfield, MS, and Natalie N. Barham of Springfield, IL; four grandchildren, Nizeire Watson of Springfield, IL, Jubei Tucket of Austin, TX, Zion D. Duckett of Greenville, SC, and Nala Barham-Watson of Springfield, IL; a very special friend and spiritual sister, Racine Freeman; three sisters, Karin Maeweather, Sandra Goodman, and Iris Walker; two brothers, Steven Maeweather and Wayman Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
