Margaree Jones departed this life on August 24, 2025, at Taylorville Rehab. She was born June 18, 1955, in Nattyville, Mississippi, the daughter of Corean Harris and Walter Harris.

She married Melvine Jones on March 7, 1976.

Jones was a Laundry attendent at Crown palaces for 2 years. 
She was preceded in death by: 
Husband: Melvine Jones

Mother/Father: Corean and Walter Harris 

Sisters: Mary Valtine and Louise Singlton 

Brothers: Tommie Harris, Walter Harris, Jr., and Percy Lee Harris 

She leaves to cherish memories: 

Son: Chris Harris of Springfield, Illinois

Daughters: Shanda Jones of Springfield, Illinois, Silva Harris of Springfield, Illinois, and Turquiose Jones of Springfield, Illinois

Brothers: Willie Harris (Trish) of Akron, Ohio, Eddie Harrie (Beatrice) of Springfield Illinois, and Kenny Harris (Tarica) of Springfield, Illinois

Sisters: Vinvian Mitchell (Earl) of Minnesota, Bobbie Helenkamp (Leon) of St. Louis, and Paula Harris of Springfield, Illinois 

15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
