Obituary
Our Angel Dawn Renee Brown was called home to be with the Lord on September 20, 2025. She was born September 21, 1987, in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of Betty Cunningham and Floyd T Brown.
Dawn was a medical assistant for SIU Clinic in Urology before going to work at Help At Home Home Care as a home care aide, where she had currently worked.
Although Dawn didn’t have a church home, she was a firm believer in God.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Cunningham; father, Floyd T Brown; and Levon “Mook” Beler.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Ma’Siyah Brown; and daughters, Sa’Miyah Brown, Chrisalynn Berry, and Serenity Berry, all of Springfield, Illinois; brothers Floyd E Brown of Kentucky and Michael Brown of Springfield, Illinois; sisters, Christina Wright of South Carolina, Hope Ajah (Chukwuebuka) of Springfield, Illinois; companion, Christopher Berry; and close friends, Marcia Knox, Toni Arnold, and Robert Brown. Dawn had twenty-two nieces and nephews, ten great-nieces and nephews whom she loved and cherished as her own, and they all looked at her like another mother.
Dawn touched so many hearts with her great spirit wherever she went. She will truly be missed by so many. Heaven truly gained an Angel.
