Obituary
Dawn McClure, 50, of Franklin, Illinois, passed away on October 18, 2025, in St. Louis, Missouri. Born on October 13, 1975, Dawn lived her life boldly and unapologetically, with a spirit that could light up any room she walked into.
Dawn was the proud mother of Kaylee Colclasure, Destinee Mason, Bryce Mason, and A’laya Mason, her greatest joys and proudest accomplishments. She also adored being a grandmother to Ky’leea Dickerson, Carter Gray, Cashton Gray, and Kay’lani Simpson. Though she never got the chance to meet her grandson Chase Gray, he held a special place in her heart all the same.
Dawn was a woman of remarkable strength strong in her will, her words, and her love. No matter what life brought her way, she faced it head on with courage, honesty, and a fire that never faded. She was the kind of person who could lift others even when she was carrying her own burdens, and her strength inspired everyone who knew her.
She was known for her honesty, her humor, and her larger than life personality. Dawn never held back what she thought and was always the loudest voice in the room, not for attention, but because she lived with passion, love, and authenticity. She spoke her mind, loved fiercely, and made sure everyone around her knew it.
Dawn leaves behind her loving parents, Debra Johnson and Michael McClure; her siblings, Christy Bethel and Mikka McClure; and her children and grandchildren, who will forever carry her spirit within them.
Those who knew Dawn will remember her for her humor, her heart, her strength, and her unwavering loyalty to the people she loved. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her laughter, courage, and love will echo forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
