Obituary
Clifford Graham affectionately known as (Joe, Jody, Chappy) son of the late Stanford Graham and Carmena Boyd was born in St. Andrew’s Jamaica of the West Indies on May 22, 1938. He received his formal education at Shorthood Practicing School. He worked at Denoes and Geddy’s distillery for years until he went on to become a messenger at Shell Company for many years. He would later retire from Shell Company in 1990.
On June 24, 1967, he went on to marry his childhood sweetheart, Beryl. This union was blessed with three sons, Winston, Roy and Shawn, and five daughters, Avis, Monica, Andrea, Ann Marie, and Alicia.
He migrated to the United States in 1992. Lived with his wife and elder son, Winston in California. He later relocated to Springfield, Illinois, in 1998.
When he arrived in Springfield, he worked at maintenance supply, from where he would later retire after many years.
He enjoys spending time with his family, playing casino games on his tablet, dressing up for Halloween whenever he would visit his son, Winston, in California. In his later years, he enjoyed getting closer to God by reading his Bible daily and praying for two to three hours.
On March 27, 2026, he went home to be with the lord. He was proceeded in death by father, mother, brothers, sisters, granddaughter, and son-in-law.
Leave to cherish his memories: sons, Winston(Shawnie), Roy (Barie), and Shawn; daughters, Avis, Monica (Carl), Andrea, Ann Marie, and Alicia; grandchildren, Monique, Alexandra, Mario, Amanda, Andre, Fernando Jr., Navadia, Fennae, Olivia, and Luca; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Amelia, Jaiana, Quinton, and Azairia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
