Obituary
Christopher Thomas departed this life on August 29, 2025. He was born on October 20, 1962, in Marks, Mississippi, the son of Lizzie and Arthur L. Thomas.
Chris was an attendant. Chrystal Cleaners in Springfield, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lizzie Thomas and Arthur Thomas; sisters, Alfred Thomas and Olivia Thomas; and son-in-law, Donell Jackson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his daughter, Krystal Jackson (Donell Jackson) of Champaign, Illinois; brothers, Steve Thomas of Springfield, Illinois, Arthur Thomas, Jr., of Las Vegas, Nevada, Terri Thomas of Appleton, Wisconsin, Glenn Thomas of California, Fabian Grisby of Springfield, Illinois, and Tony Thomas of Iowa; sisters, Jewel Thomas, Diane Thomas, and Francis Thomas (Sherman), all of Springfield, Illinois; and five grandchildren.
Known for being a caring and loving person, Christopher was fiercely loyal to those he loved. He stood as a protector of his family, always ready to act first when it came to their safety and well-being. His bold heart and steadfast nature left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He will truly be missed by all. Fly high, Moab—take care of Mom and Pops. And may his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
