Obituary
Cash Russell was a lively, loving young boy whose smile could brighten any room. Born in Springfield, Illinois, quickly became known for his big personality and joyful heart. He loved to sing, play soccer, and spend time with his family or enjoy his favorite meal from McDonald’s. When he wasn’t playing video games, you could find him singing his favorite songs, playing with slime, or annoying his brothers.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, his grandfather, Ivan Russell, and his uncle, Mario Russell of Chicago, Illinois.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted mother, Dorothy Jackson of Springfield, IL; his father, Marcus Russell of Chicago, IL; brothers, Carlos Day, Markhi Russell, and Chase Russell of Springfield, IL, Marcus Russell, Jr., Markaya Russell, and Mariah Russell of Chicago, IL; and his “pup brother,” Cross Russell; grandparents, Joseph and Jolene Jackson of Dallas, TX, and Mary Hibbler of Chicago, IL; along with his favorite baby cousin, A’Mhyri Day; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A proud and active student at Compass, Cash loved math and dreamed of becoming an entrepreneur with his own restaurant. Though his time was brief, his laughter, energy, and dreams will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
