Obituary
Vivian Yvonne Clemons Santana was born May 6, 1955, to the parentage of the late Moses Clemons Sr, and Arie Mae (Evans) Clemons. She was the second child and sister to the late Moses Jr. She was born in Opa-Locka, Florida and continued her childhood life there.
She attended Munford Kindergarten, Rainbow Park Elementary, North Dade Jr High, Norland High and graduated from Hialeah Miami Lakes High School. She excelled in school and was instrumental in the Marching Band at North Dade and Hialeah Miami Lakes Marching Band and Orchestra Band.
After graduating from high school, Vivian was accepted into Clark College, now known as Clark Atlanta University. She majored in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education. While attending Clark College, she pledged and became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. This organization was built on scholarships, services, sisterhood and finer womanhood which is why she was drawn to this organization.
After graduation, she decided to make Atlanta Georgia her home. She had several careers in Atlanta which consisted of teacher, Administrative Assistant at WOAK Radio, Advertisement Assistant at Coca Cola. She also owned and managed a Texaco convenience store for 16 years. She then went to work for Westwood College as a high school admission representative.
She moved back to Florida and went back to her passion for teaching. In 2024, as a first-year teacher with St Lucie school system Vivian was nominated by her peers as a distinguished educator. The nomination encompassed her contributions to education, inspiring, and motivating others. As a child, Vivian attended The Church of Kingdom of God and learned the importance of believing and having faith in God. That childhood foundation carried her through life, and her faith continued to grow. Vivian had a caring heart and always was willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Along with her caring heart, her shoulders were always available. Her love for her extended family was always a high priority in her life. She hosted/co-hosted several family reunions.
Vivian leaves a legacy to be cherished by her 2 sons; Kris Santana, Klien Santana (his wife Aniko), two grandchildren, Bella and Luca Santana, Nephews Dr Kawachi Clemons, Moses Clemons III, Great Niece Karis Clemons, Great Nephews Moses IV, Kyren and Kamal, Great-great nephew Legend, Aunt Gertrude Stephens, and a host of cousins whom she loved dearly.
