Obituary

A TIME TO BE BORN:
Robert Lee Johnson, affectionately known as "RABBIT" and “MIKE”, was born on December 21, 1959, inMiami, Florida. He was the first of six children nurtured and raised by the late Presiding Elder M. L.Braddy.
Robert was preceded in death by his biological parents
A TIME TO PLANT:
Robert received his education in the Miami Dade County Public Schools system Robert became aGospel Artist after releasing his first CD single called, "Come On Children". Robert also enjoyed singingat numerous events and at special occasions throughout the quartet community. Where he served as alead and backup musician for many groups. Additionally, he served as one of the lead singers of TheNew Sounds of Joy.
A TIME TO LOVE:
Robert helped create two beautiful children Roshonda and Robert Johnson, Jr with his first wife.
In 2006 Robert was introduced by LaShonda Young to the love of his life, (Priscilla Holton), who becamehis lifelong friend; companion and devoted wife on March 16, 2013. Together they faced life's challenges,holding onto their love with Jesus at the center of their joy.
A TIME TO WORSHIP:
Robert committed his entire life to the Lord by serving as a devoted Singer and Musician. He heldpositions as a drummer and bass guitarist for many years as a member of the House of God Church,under the leadership of his Mother, the late Presiding Elder M.L. Braddy.
After being appointed as a Ministry Leader, singer and musician, Robert showcased his talents and skillswhile serving passionately at Brownsville Missionary Baptist and Greater Harvest Churches.
Robert joined Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Jimmie L Persons Jr.and continued to serve as a gifted Musician and Ministry Leader where he spent the rest of his days
A TIME TO DEPART:
Robert peacefully passed away on January 21, 2026, entering into eternal rest with Jesus. His strengthof spirit while singing for Jesus will never fade away and his showstopping performances will always beremembered. His spirit will forever reign in our hearts.
A TIME TO MOURN:
He leaves to mourn his wife: Priscilla Holton-Johnson; His Children:
Robert Johnson, Jr. and Roshonda Johnson; Step Daughters: LaShonda Young (Emmanuel) and AndreaJean-Pierre; Siblings: Georgia Phillips/Pierre, Thelma Johnson/Owens, Robert Johnson, Jr.,PatriciaJohnson/Jackson and Ruthie Hunter /Jackson; Sister-in-Laws: Brenda Collier; Dorothy Carter, JaniceSimon, and Inez Simon(Craig); Brother-in-Laws: Rand Simon, Leslie McPhee; Grandchildren: HarmonyJones, Alaya Jones, Londyn Francois, and Lauren Christie; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins andfriends.
