Obituary
Lyndon Adrian Albury, Sr., was born on December 15, 1966, to parents, Rosena and Milton Albury in Dundas Town, Bahamas. He spent his formative years in Freeport, Grand Bahama, where his vibrant spirit and natural talents began to shine. As a child and teenager, Lyndon enjoyed fishing, track and field, basketball, and music. His dedication to sports earned him numerous awards, trophies, a testament to his athleticism and determination.
Lyndon’s love for the sea led him to become a skilled “Gallun Senior”, mastering the art of fishing, trapping, and potting for lobster and fish. His connection to the ocean was not just a pastime but a way of life, reflecting his hardworking and adventurous nature. He graduated from Hawksbill High school at the remarkable age of fifteen, setting the stage for a life marked by ambition and resilience.
Fate intervened when Lyndon met the love of his life, Sandra, while they were both visiting their aunts. Living just across the street from each other, they were introduced by Lyndon’s late cousin, Dwight. Their connection blossomed, and at the age of one, Lyndon began dating Sandra, starting a beautiful journey together.
The couple began their life in their first apartment in Opa Locka, Florida, and later started their family in Carol City. In 1999, they moved to Stuart, Florida, to support Sandra’s first teaching assignment. By 2001, they returned to Carol City, settling into their new home, where they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Together for 38 wonderful years, Lyndon and Sandra created a strong, loving family blessed with four beautiful children.
Lyndon was a man of immense humor, wisdom, and compassion. His love for his family knew no bounds, and his presence brought joy and guidance to all who knew him. His heartfelt words through music and the wisdom he shared will remain in the hearts of those he touched. Before his untimely passing, Lyndon worked as a traffic controller technician at STS Transportation Company, where his hard work and dedication were evident to all.
Lyndon was preceded in death by his baby sister, Reba Rosemilt Albury, and his beloved uncle, Jay (Floyd Armbrister).
He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unity, cherished by his dedicated wife, Sandra Albury; children, Lyndon Albury, Jr. (Stephanie Albury), Imarjaye Albury, Sr. (Brittany Albury), Qaid Albury, and Lynnia Albury; adored grandchildren, Imarjaye Albury, Jr., Amyra Albury, and Jordyn Albury; loving parents, Milton and Rosena Albury; siblings, Rapunzel Nelson (Edward Nelson), Raquel Rice (Patrick Rice), Martin Luther Albury (Shalon Albury), Lauren Lafaye Albury, Raoul Laru Albury, and Lecious Roosevelt Albury; supportive mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ulysses and Shirley Brown; sister-in-law, Nikia Brown; brothers-in-law, Jeffrey Brown and Corey Johnson; along with a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, and sorrowing friends.
