Obituary

His Story
“To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven...” – Ecclesiastes 3:1
Larry Clyde Readon was born on February 25, 1954, in Rembert, South Carolina, the beloved son of Clyde and Gertrude Readon, both of whom preceded him in death.
Larry completed his early education in the Miami-Dade County public school system. Larry completed his high school education and graduated with the class of 1971 to earn his high school diploma. During Larry’s years at Miami Jackson Senior High School, he excelled in wrestling. Larry was one of the best when it came to handling his business. Big drop didn’t play when it came to fashion. Larry didn’t come to play; he was the one who stood out. Clothing and jewelry was his swag; if you didn’t know, now you know.
Larry was definitely a family man; he loved and cherish every moment he spent with his family. Larry was a die-hard dolphin, and when it came to game day, he talked so much trash. Larry was an entrepreneur at Readon’s Market for 35 years.
On Friday, November 28, 2025, God sent his angel of mercy to quietly remove a beautiful rose from his mortal garden and bring it to his garden of immortal bliss. As the angel ascended into Heaven, earth’s gates closed and the garden of eternity “swung open.”
A Time to Leave His Legacy...
He was preceded in death by his son, Trenard; daughter, Tanya; sister, Cynthia; and brother, Joe Vonzo.
Larry will truly be missed, but his memories will be everlasting to his son, Rodney and Shamira Readon; thirteen grandkids and eight great-grands; one sister, Belinda Readon-Parker; and a host of other relatives and friends.
