Obituary
John Rollins was born on August 17, 1951, in Miami, Florida, to the late Eugene and Margart Rollins. He was the first of ten children born to this union and lovingly grew up alongside his siblings: Eugene Jr., Willie, Margaret, Melford, Clarence, Howard, Isaac, David, and Madeline.
John received his early education through the Miami-Dade Public Schools System and proudly graduated from Miami Central Senior High School, Class of 1969. Shortly after, he answered the call to serve his country and enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served faithfully from March 1971 through April 1974.
Before joining the military, John met the love of his life, Adrian Martin. During a visit home, their love was sealed in marriage on March 10, 1972. Their union was blessed with two sons, John Jr. and Anthony, who became the joy of his life.
After returning home from his military service, John began working at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he served for several years. He later found employment with Hubba Craft, where he dedicated 15 years before retiring. In retirement, he enjoyed a peaceful and fulfilling life surrounded by his wife, children, and extended family. John was truly the life of the party—his presence filled every room with laughter, warmth, and joy. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a cherished friend.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Margart Rollins, and three siblings: Eugene Jr., Willie, and Margaret.
On Thursday morning November 20th , John answered the voice of the Lord and entered into his eternal rest.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 53 blessed years, Adrian Rollins; two sons, John Jr. and Anthony Rollins; six siblings, Melford, Clarence, Howard, Isaac (Dannette), Davis (Lisa), and Madeline Rollins; extended family member, Gay McDugle; three sisters-in-law, Angela Martin, Ladelphia Best, and Natalie Best; five brothers-in-law, Linwood Martin, Charles Best, Earl Best, Robert Martin, and Boobie Best; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many sorrowing friends who will miss him dearly.
