Obituary

Joeanna Warren Janvier was born on September 9, 1956, at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, to the late Wilhelmina Rivers and Joseph Warren.
Joeanna spent her early childhood in the historic Overtown community before her family relocated to Liberty City, where she was raised and formed many lifelong friendships. As a young woman, Joeanna met and married Lonnie Croxton, and together they welcomed their daughter, the late Simone Croxton. 12 years later, Joeanna was blessed with the birth of her second daughter, Raven.
Joeanna graduated from Miami Jackson Senior High School and continued her education at Miami Dade College. In the early 1990s, she began her career with the State of Florida, where she faithfully served for many years before retiring. Never one to stop serving others, Joeanna later became a Foster Grandparent, a role she embraced with the same compassion, patience, and nurturing spirit that defined her life.
A woman of unwavering faith, Joeanna dedicated herself to serving both her church and her community. At Glendale Baptist Church of Brownsville, she faithfully served as a Sunday School Teacher and President of the Women's Ministry, where she encouraged others through her leadership, wisdom, and steadfast faith in God.
Her service extended beyond the church. Within the North Park community, Joeanna served as a Girl Scout Troop Leader and later as President of the Seniors Club, always finding ways to uplift those around her. Whether mentoring children, encouraging adults, or lending a helping hand to a neighbor, she believed that serving others was one of life's greatest callings.
On July 16th,2026 Joeanna was welcomed into the arms of the lord
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving daughter, Raven; her beloved grandchildren, Joey Croxton, Bria Croxton, Tania Tyler, Marc Janvier, Terrance Tyler Jr, Rachel Janvier, Kenya Croxton, and Janiya Dixon; with a Host of  great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
