Obituary
Jacqulyn Marie Pope James was born on February 22, 1947, in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, to Will and Mary Lee Cleckley. She was the third child out of eight children. She was affectionately known as “Jackie” by her family and friends. She was born into the Pentecostal Church family. She graduated from Beaver Falls High School, then she went to the Job Corps, where she received her training as a nurse.
She began her nursing career at Mt. Sinai Hospital, then she went over to Dade County as an Aids Coordinator and was then transferred to JMH. She was selected as “Nurse of the Year” in 1994. She retired from JMH in ____.
She was involved in many community services: Eastern Stars, the Elks, AFSCME 1963, and AFSCME Retirees, AARP, Red Hatters, and the Black Nurses Association.
Jackie leaves to mourn: her children, Clifford Will Pope, Michael Pope, Ronald Douglas Pope (he preceded them in death); seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends who will truly miss her, until we meet again in our heavenly father’s home.
