Obituary
Edna Jaghai was born on April 30, 1937, on the island of Jamaica in the parish of Clarendon to the late Edwin and Sancherie Harrisingh. She migrated to the United States in 1987 and became a U.S. citizen in 1994.
Edna worked at Dana Brassiere factory as a seamstress for 35 years, in Saint Mary, Jamaica, before migrating to the USA. She was married to husband, the late Winston Jaghai, for 42 years, and to this union six children were born. Edna was an ardent Christian worshipper who attended the Baileys Vale Church of God Holiness from a very young age while living in Jamaica (Elder Vidal), and the Open Bible Community Church (Reverend Guthrie), before transitioning to The Second Chance Christian Center (Reverends Linval and Gertrude Jaghai), after migrating to the USA. Her favorite pastimes were nature walking, cooking, gardening, singing in Christian choruses, praying, and caring for her grandchildren.
Edna was preceded in death by sisters, Icilda and Mavis, and brother, Altimond.
She is survived by: her six children, Linval, Beverley, Jennifer, Desmond, Yvonne, and Owen; sister, Ivy; brothers, Fredrick and Solomon; 17 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, other loving relatives, and friends.
