Obituary

On June 9, 1972, Dorce Dorcely was born to Desiray Dorcely and Adeline Domond in Port de Prince, Haiti. He is the third of eight children born to Adeline Domond. Dorce was a longtime resident of Haiti, and as a young man he enjoyed going to school at Kay Fre in Carrefor, Haiti. Dorce also enjoyed playing ball with his siblings and neighborhood children. In 1990, at the age of 18, his mother sent for Dorce and a younger sibling to come to America. When he arrived to Miami, Florida, Dorce attended Edison Senior High School.

After graduating high school, Dorce worked many different jobs such as security, Amazon, hotel operations, and at the airport. On his days off, Dorce would enjoy playing dominoes and cards at Oak Grove park in NMB. Dorce was more than just a brother—he was a guiding light, a loyal friend, and an irreplaceable presence in our lives. His quick wit and infectious smile could light up any room, and his kindness touched everyone he met. He was always there whether to offer a helping hand, share a laugh, food, or provide a shoulder to lean on. His passion for life was evident in everything he did, from his dedication to his work to the love he showed his family and friends. He often displayed a strong determined personality and was never afraid to speak his mind, making a lasting impression on those around him.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his three children; beloved mother, Adeline, stepfather, Wilner; siblings, Jean, Henry, Marjorie, Rugord, Wanda, Wilny, Tyna, Jetta, Marie Carmella, and Dezi; nieces, Katiana, Jordana, Guerline, Garryahanna, Kenise, Kendreana, Nia, Jasmine, Jeanisha, and Moriah; nephews, Maxine, Wootchard, Rayshawn, Jerimyah, Nickai, Kaleb, Kennsly, Amir, and Josiah; two sisters-in-law, Raquel and Bebe; aunt and uncle, Antonie and Etude Domond; cousins, Mat, David, Karen, Peggy, Jablonsca, Suze, Ketly, Yonel, Nesly, Raymond, and Netta; and many, many more aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
