Obituary
On October 3, 1967, Anthony Glenn Morgan was given to Andre Sr. and Julia Mae Morgan. Anthony was the eldest child of four.
As a child, he was funny, busy, and playful. As a tween, Anthony loved watersports, swimming, scuba diving, and fishing. Also, he loved antique fast cars, guns, and working out and exercise.
As a adult, Anthony was a provider, protector, go-getter, and most of all, he was always sharing. He was always there when the family needed him. Anthony was full of jokes and had a laugh like no other.
Anthony attended Earlington Heights Elementary, Charles R. Drew Middle, and Miami North Western Senior High.
In the mid 2000s, Anthony’s life changed forever when he became a disciple for the Lord. He stayed focused on his assignment no matter what. He truly was a servant of God. He loved outreach ministering. He frequently visited prisons, jails, impoverished neighborhoods, and drug-infested communities. His assignment touched so many lives. If you had any contact with Anthony, you will have a story to tell.
In the last seven years of his life, he accomplished more than many of us in our life spans. he wrote a book, “Contemporary African American Released from Prison,” and started his own business, Your Cargo Express, LLC.
His outgoing, generosity, and willing spirit will be missed.
Anthony was preceded in death by his mother, Julia Mae; father, Andre Sr. Morgan; and twin brothers, Dwight and Duwell.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his brother, Andre Jr.; nephews, Andre II (Sasha), Darius, and DeAndre Morgan; niece, Brooke; grandnieces and nephews, Andriana, Andrea, Santana, Harlem, and Montana Morgan; uncles, Kevin and Arvin Morgan and Lawrence Drayton; cousins, Lawrence Morgan, Mont (Madeline) Victor, Fred, Lauren Drayton, Michele (Derrick) James, and Helen Marshall; the family of New Jersey and the Disdom family; and a host of cousins and friends.
